About the Transom cover letter template
Transom runs a dark sidebar down the left third of every page and lays a band of your accent colour across the head of the page over it, set in from both edges so it bridges the sidebar and the white page. Your name sits on the band in large bold capitals with your e-mail and phone beneath, and the letter runs in the white column beside the sidebar.
How it is built
- The sidebar holds no text, so it frames the letter without competing with it, and it runs the full height of every page.
- The band and the sidebar are separate colour choices, and the name and contact on the band switch to dark if you pick a pale band.
- The recipient's address opens the letter, with the date beneath it, then the greeting and the paragraphs.
