About the Gable cover letter template
Gable opens on a slate band across the top of the page with your name centred in white capitals. Beneath it your own name and contact details sit on the left and the recipient sits on the right, ranged to the margin, so both addresses share one row. The letter follows with justified paragraphs, and the foot of the page is cut by two angled plates: a slate wedge in the left corner and a pale grey one across the right.
How it is built
- Sender and recipient face each other across the same row, the way a posted business letter lays out its two addresses.
- The corner plates echo the band at the top in the same slate, so the page is framed top and bottom without a border.
- The pale grey plate has its own swatch, so it can be darkened, matched to the band or turned off by setting it to white.
