Getting Started
Resumarc is an AI-powered CV builder that helps you create professional, ATS-friendly resumes in minutes. Choose from a range of Polished Templates, fill in your details through a guided step-by-step flow, and download a job-ready CV.
Click Build my CV on the homepage, personalize your template and accent color, then follow the guided sections. These include: Personal Information, Contact Information, Work History, Education, Skills, and Summary. You can preview your CV live at every step.
You can explore templates, begin the personalisation flow and try the AI features without an account, using a small daily allowance of AI Credits. An account is required to save your CVs to your account and open them on other devices.
CV Builder
Yes. You can switch templates at any point without losing any saved data. Your section content is stored separately from the template style, so a switch is instant and non-destructive.
Resumarc supports multiple CV versions so you can tailor each one to a specific role. If you're running into trouble, first make sure you're using an up-to-date browser. We recommend Google Chrome for the best experience.
From your CV dashboard, hover over any CV card to reveal the action icons and click Duplicate. This creates an identical copy you can rename and edit independently. Your original stays untouched.
Alternatively, you can start fresh by clicking Build my CV and going through the guided flow again with a different template or content focus.
If you're still unable to create additional versions after trying the above, contact our support team and we'll get it sorted.
Spacing and margin issues can usually be resolved directly in the CV editor. If you're not already there, go to your CV dashboard and open the CV you want to adjust.
Once in the editor, click Layout & Formatting in the left icon rail. From there you can fine-tune:
- Font size — adjust the base and heading sizes independently.
- Spacing — control the gap between sections, between paragraphs, and line height.
- Margins — set the top/bottom and side margins to reclaim space or add breathing room.
- Page size — switch between A4 and Letter if your printer expects a different format.
If the CV still overflows after tightening the layout, review individual sections and trim any content that isn't essential. You can also switch to a different template from the Templates panel. Some layouts are more compact and better suited to denser content. Download as PDF to preview the final output before printing.
Progress is only saved to your account when you're signed in. Without an account, work is held temporarily in your browser session and can be lost if you close the tab or lose your connection. Create a free account to make sure your CV is always saved and accessible across devices.
If you already have an account and are still losing progress, check the following:
- Ensure you have a stable internet connection. The builder syncs your changes online and requires connectivity to persist them.
- Confirm you are signed in before starting or continuing your CV.
- If the problem persists after checking both of the above, contact our support team with details of what you were editing and we'll investigate.
The AI summary generator analyses your work history and skills to draft a tailored professional summary. You can freely edit the output or regenerate it with a different tone. Usage is metered per plan. Check your dashboard for remaining credits.
Yes. Choose Write it with AI, add your target role, your jobs and your education, and Resumarc writes your summary, skills and bullet points and picks a template to match. Your name and contact details are never sent to the AI. Where a number would help, the draft leaves a placeholder such as [X] for you to fill in. It uses AI Credits once, only if the draft succeeds, and you can edit everything afterwards.
Yes, once you're signed in and have a saved CV. Go to Write it with AI (or, on the cover letter start page, choose Build from your CV, then Write it with AI). Pick one of your CVs and enter the job title and company, and Resumarc writes your opening, body and call to action from that CV's summary, work history, education and skills. Your name and contact details, and the details of the person you're writing to, are never sent to the AI. Where a number would help, the draft leaves a placeholder such as [X] for you to fill in. It uses AI Credits once, only if the draft succeeds, and you can edit everything afterwards. Without a CV, you can still build your letter step by step.
Account & Settings
Go to Settings → Security and use the Change Password form. You'll need to confirm your current password before setting a new one. If you registered with Google, you can add a password from the same page.
Start by confirming that the email address and password you're entering match the ones used to create your account. If you've forgotten your password, you can reset it from Settings → Security.
If you're still unable to sign in, work through the following steps:
- Clear your browser cache (see instructions below), then reload the page and try again.
- Open a private or incognito window and attempt to sign in from there.
- If none of the above resolves the issue, contact our support team. We're happy to help.
How to clear your cache:
- Chrome — click the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top-right corner, navigate to More tools → Clear browsing data, and remove cached images and files.
- Safari — press Option+Command+E to empty the cache in one step. Or go to Safari → Preferences → Advanced, enable Show Develop menu in menu bar, then choose Develop → Empty Caches.
- Edge / Internet Explorer — press Ctrl+Shift+Delete, set the time range to All time, check Cached images and files, and click Clear data.
Go to Settings → Account and enter your new email address. We'll send a verification link to the new address. Click it to confirm the change. Your old address remains active until verification is complete.
Plans & Billing
Resumarc has a free tier with the full CV builder, core templates, live preview, and resume score. Everything else is unlocked with a one-time access pass: a 3-day pass, a 7-day pass, a 30-day pass, or lifetime access. Passes are a single payment. There's no subscription and nothing ever auto-renews.
A paid access pass unlocks the full Resumarc experience for the length of the pass. Here's everything you get:
- Create and manage as many CV versions as you like. No limit on documents stored in your account.
- Export and print in every supported format: PDF, plain text (.txt), and Word (.docx).
- Access and edit all your saved CVs from any device, at any time.
- Use every premium template and generate AI-powered professional summaries with a generous daily allowance.
- Run the full resume checker and get priority support from our team whenever you need assistance.
Head to the Plans page and pick a pass. Access is granted as soon as your payment is confirmed. There's no upgrade or downgrade to manage: when a time-boxed pass is close to running out, you can simply buy another one to extend your access. You can review your current pass and its expiry date anytime in Settings → Subscription.
Payment failures can happen for a number of reasons. Most are technical in nature and unrelated to your card itself. In some cases our payment provider may be unable to process a specific card or method, and the simplest fix is to try an alternative.
- Try a different card or payment method (e.g. switch from a debit card to a credit card, or use PayPal if available).
- Make sure your billing details — name, address, and card number — are entered exactly as they appear on your statement.
- Check with your bank to confirm the transaction hasn't been flagged or blocked on their end.
If you've tried the above and are still unable to complete a payment, reach out to us at support@resumarc.com and we'll help you find a way forward.
Resumarc charges appear on your bank or card statement under one of the following descriptors:
- RESUMARC.COM
- BLD*RESUMARC.COM
If you see either of these entries and have questions about a charge, contact our billing team at support@resumarc.com with your order details.
We offer a 14-day refund window on every access pass, as long as you haven't exported a resume or cover letter yet (downloaded it, emailed it to yourself, or printed it). Once you export a document, the pass has been used and is no longer eligible for a refund. Email our billing team at support@resumarc.com with your order details and we'll process eligible refunds within 1–4 business days. Your bank or card provider may take a few more business days to show the refund on your statement.
No — there's nothing to cancel. Every pass is a one-time payment that simply expires on its own when its window ends. We never store a recurring charge, so you'll never be billed again unless you choose to buy another pass. Lifetime access never expires.
If you have any questions about a payment, our billing team is happy to help:
- Email: support@resumarc.com
Your CVs stay saved in your account and remain visible from your dashboard after a pass expires. Paid actions — downloading, emailing, and printing — pause until you buy a new pass.
Your content is never deleted when a pass ends. You can buy another pass at any time to regain full access.
Downloading & Sharing
You can download your CV as:
- PDF — recommended for most job applications
- Plain text (.txt)
- Word document (.docx)
All exports preserve the template layout and styling.
Use the Download → PDF option and print from your PDF viewer, or use the Print URL feature from the builder to open a print-optimised version in a new browser tab.
Yes. From the builder or your CV dashboard, click the email icon to send your CV as an attachment to any address. Supported formats are PDF, plain text, and Word.
If downloads aren't working despite having an active access pass, try each of the following:
- Check that your browser isn't blocking pop-ups or file downloads for this site. Look for a blocked-download notice in the address bar and allow it.
- Sign out of your account, sign back in, and attempt the download again.
- Clear your browser cache. See the sign-in troubleshooting entry above for browser-specific steps.
- If the issue persists after all of the above, contact our support team and we'll look into it for you.
If your CV isn't printing as expected, work through the following checks:
- Download your CV as a PDF first and print from your PDF viewer. This gives the most reliable output and preserves template formatting.
- Confirm that your printer is powered on and that your device is connected to it.
- If the printer is on but still unresponsive, restart it and try again.
- If none of these steps resolves the issue, reach out to our support team for further assistance.
