Terms of use.

These Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of Resumarc, including our website, resume and cover letter builder, templates, resume checker, and related tools and features (together, the "Services"). Resumarc is operated by Resumarc Limited, a private company limited by shares with registration number RC 9810124 ("Resumarc", "we", "us", or "our").

By creating an account, purchasing a pass, or otherwise using the Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

In these Terms:

• "Services" means the Resumarc website, applications, and tools described above.
• "You" or "User" means any person who accesses or uses the Services.
• "Account" means the account you create to use the Services.
• "Your Content" means the information and materials you add, such as your resumes, cover letters, and profile details.
• "Pass" means a one-time purchase that unlocks paid features for a set period or permanently.
• "AI Credits" means the daily allowance used by certain artificial-intelligence features.

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Services. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Services only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms.

By using the Services you confirm that the information you provide about yourself is accurate and that you are legally able to enter into these Terms.

You can create an account with an email address and password, or by signing in with Google or a magic link. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity that happens under your account.

Please keep your account information accurate and up to date, and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission. You may close your account at any time.

Resumarc gives you tools to create, edit, score, import, export, email, and share resumes and cover letters. Some features use artificial intelligence to suggest, generate, or improve content, and to score a resume for readability and applicant-tracking compatibility.

We are always improving Resumarc. We may add, change, suspend, or remove features at any time, and some features may depend on the pass you hold or your available AI Credits.

Access to paid features is sold as one-time Passes: the 3-Day Pass, 7-Day Pass, 30-Day Pass, and Lifetime Access. All prices are shown in US dollars and are stated at checkout.

Passes are a single one-time payment. Resumarc does not sell subscriptions and does not automatically renew or recharge you. A timed pass grants access for its stated duration and then expires on its own. Lifetime Access does not expire.

Payments are processed by our payment provider, Polar, which acts as the merchant of record for your purchase. Your purchase is also subject to Polar's terms and privacy policy. You are responsible for any taxes associated with your purchase, other than taxes based on our income.

Certain artificial-intelligence features draw from a daily allowance of AI Credits that depends on your access level and resets every 24 hours. Unused AI Credits do not roll over. Some features, such as rule-based resume scoring and skill suggestions, do not use AI Credits.

If a paid Pass is not the right fit, email us at support@resumarc.com within 14 days of your purchase and we will issue a full refund, provided you have not yet exported a resume or cover letter. Once you download a document, the Pass has been used and is no longer eligible for a refund. Refunds are returned to your original payment method through Polar.

We may decline a refund request that we reasonably believe is abusive or fraudulent. This refund policy is in addition to any rights you may have under the law that applies to you.

Some features use artificial intelligence to draft or improve text and to score your resume. This output is provided to help you and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuited to your situation. It is not professional career, legal, or financial advice.

You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying any AI-assisted content before you use it. A resume score is a guide only and does not guarantee any particular result with an employer or an applicant-tracking system.

You keep ownership of Your Content. You grant Resumarc a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, reproduce, and display Your Content for the purpose of operating and providing the Services to you, including generating live previews, exports, and any documents you choose to share.

You are responsible for Your Content. You confirm that you have the right to use it and that it does not infringe the rights of any other person or break any law.

You can edit or delete Your Content, and you can close your account, at any time. When you delete Your Content or close your account, our licence to that content ends.

When you ask us to delete your account, it is deactivated immediately and permanently deleted 30 days later. During those 30 days you can restore your account, with all of its content, using the restore link we send to your email address. Once the 30 days pass, deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

We may keep copies that we are required to retain by law, or that remain in routine backups for a limited period, and we may keep anonymised information that no longer identifies you.

When using the Services, you agree not to:

• use the Services for any unlawful, fraudulent, or misleading purpose;
• submit content that is false, defamatory, infringing, or that violates another person's privacy or rights;
• attempt to access accounts, data, or systems that are not yours;
• copy, scrape, resell, or redistribute our templates, software, or other materials except as these Terms allow;
• interfere with or disrupt the Services, place undue load on them, or bypass our security measures or rate limits;
• use bots or other automated means to access the Services except as we expressly permit.

The Services, including our software, templates, designs, text, graphics, logos, and the "Resumarc" name and brand, are owned by Resumarc or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We reserve all rights not expressly granted to you.

We grant you a personal, limited, non-transferable, and revocable right to use the Services and to use the resumes and cover letters you create for your own job-search purposes. You may not sell, license, or redistribute our templates or underlying materials, and we do not transfer ownership of them to you.

The Services let you create public links to a resume or cover letter. Anyone who has the link can view the document you shared, without signing in. Only share a link with people you intend to give access to.

You can disable a share link at any time. We may also disable a link or document that we reasonably believe breaks these Terms.

We respect intellectual-property rights. If you believe content on the Services infringes your copyright, email us at support@resumarc.com with enough detail to identify the work, the material you say is infringing, and your contact information. We will review valid reports and may remove the content or disable the related account.

The Services rely on third parties, including Polar (payments), OpenAI (AI features), Google (sign-in), Clearbit (company logos and suggestions), and PostHog (product analytics, which you can turn off in Cookie preferences), as well as providers for hosting, storage, email delivery, bot protection, and error monitoring. Our Privacy Policy lists these providers and what they receive. If you choose to sign in with Google, your use of that sign-in is also governed by Google's terms. Your use of these features may be subject to the third party's terms and privacy practices, and we are not responsible for third-party services or websites that we link to.

The job-title search, the pre-written role suggestions, and the skills suggestions in the builder include information from the O*NET® Database by the U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration (USDOL/ETA), used under the CC BY 4.0 license. We have modified and adapted that information. USDOL/ETA has not reviewed or endorsed Resumarc.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the Services you also agree to our Privacy Policy.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

Resumarc does not guarantee that using the Services will result in a job, an interview, or any specific outcome. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any content, suggestion, or score is accurate or complete.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Resumarc will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or opportunities, arising from or related to your use of the Services.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Services will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to Resumarc in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50.

You agree to indemnify and hold Resumarc harmless from any claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content, your use of the Services, or your breach of these Terms.

You may stop using the Services and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if we are required to by law, or where necessary to protect the Services or other users.

When your account is closed, your right to use the Services ends. Sections that by their nature should survive, including those on intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification, continue to apply after termination.

We may update the Services and these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes to these Terms, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

When you use the Services, you agree that we may communicate with you electronically, including by email and through notices posted within the Services. You agree that these electronic communications satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing. This does not affect any statutory rights you have.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional terms that apply to a specific feature, make up the entire agreement between you and Resumarc about the Services. Where additional feature terms conflict with these Terms, the additional terms govern for that feature.

If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining parts stay in effect. Our failure to enforce a right or provision is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our consent, and we may transfer ours to an affiliate or to a successor in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute relating to these Terms or the Services will be subject to the competent courts of Nigeria, unless mandatory law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.

Before starting any formal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us so we can try to resolve the matter directly.

The Services are provided by Resumarc Limited, a private company limited by shares with company registration number RC 9810124. Our registration can be verified on the public register of the Corporate Affairs Commission.
