Built the other way round.

Most resume builders work the same way. You spend an hour writing, the preview looks good, you click Download, and a paywall appears. The work is finished. The file exists. You just cannot have it.

That is a strange way to treat someone who is job hunting. Job hunting usually means being out of work, and being out of work usually means counting every expense. Charging at the exact moment a person needs the document is not a pricing model. It is leverage.

The builder is free. The cover letter builder is free. You can download a finished resume without paying anyone.

If you want a polished PDF or Word file, there is a pass for that, and it is a one-time payment. No subscription. Nothing auto-renews. Nothing quietly bills you in three months because you forgot to cancel. If a pass turns out not to be what you wanted, you have 14 days to say so.

An AI resume builder was not the goal. Ask a model to write your achievements and it will cheerfully invent them, and the person reading your application can tell.

So the suggestions in Resumarc do not start from a blank prompt. They start from real labour-market data, covering 1,016 occupations with curated, role-specific phrasing for each. The AI is there to help you describe what you actually did. It is not there to make things up on your behalf.

Every template is built to survive an applicant tracking system. No text baked into images. No clever two-column layouts that scramble the reading order. Nothing that looks impressive on your screen and arrives as scrambled text on a recruiter's.

The guides, the per-occupation pages, and the template descriptions are written in-house. We use AI to help draft them and a person reads everything before it publishes. We would rather say that plainly than have you wonder.

What the advice is checked against matters more than how it is drafted. Anything describing an occupation is grounded in O*NET v30.3, the US Department of Labor's occupational database, which is credited on every page that uses it. Anything describing how Resumarc works is checked against what the product actually does, so a page cannot promise a behaviour the app does not have.

We revisit the guides every 60 to 90 days, and every batch of occupation pages is read before it goes live rather than after. Nothing on this site is paid placement. There are no affiliate links, no sponsored templates, and no way to buy a mention.

We built the first version because we had written a resume and were not willing to pay $30 to download it. None of what followed is complicated. It is mostly just refusing to do the things that make resume builders profitable and unpleasant.
