About the Sterling template
Sterling is the plain serif one-column resume, on a white page with no photo: the name centred in bold, one centred line of contact details divided by dots, and every section, one the writer adds included, under the same bold capitals over a dark rule the full width of the page. An entry opens on the employer and city in bold with the dates against the right margin, then the role in bold beneath, then its bullets; a degree reads as the school and city in bold with the award month against the margin and the award on the line beneath. Skills run three to a row as a bulleted grid. Nothing on the page is set in colour but the name and the rules, and the accent ships as near-black, so the default reads as ink on paper. It suits a human resources manager, an administrator or anyone applying somewhere a resume is read by a system before a person.
