About the Placard template
Placard is a two-column resume with no photo. A charcoal band runs across the head of the page and the name sits on a rounded yellow plate set in serif type, straddling the foot of the band. Beneath it the job title and then the contact details run on one centred line, the fields divided by short yellow bars, over a thin rule that closes the head. Every heading, a section the writer adds included, is a yellow disc holding the section icon beside a serif label in sentence case. A thin dark rule runs down between the two columns and another closes the foot of the page. Each role and degree opens on a small line with the dates and the city in capitals, then the job title and the employer in bold on lines of their own. Skills read as small spaced capital group names, each over its list, and each certification is its year over its name in bold. It suits developers and engineers early in their careers who want a page that is easy to scan.
