About the Fern template

Fern is a one-column resume on pale grey paper with a strip of dark green leaves running down the left edge of every page, a square photograph against the right margin, and the name and job title on two white blocks at the head. Every heading sits on a white block of its own over a thin dark rule the width of the page, and the sections read down the page in the document's order: a role as the employer in bold and the title in italics on one line with the dates over the city at the right margin, the certificates and the languages along a line with a dot between the items, and a section the writer adds as titled groups two abreast, each with its own dashed list. It suits a marketing assistant, a coordinator or anyone early in a career who wants a plain, well-spaced page with one strong image and no colour in the text.
