About the Volt cover letter template
Volt sets the letter on a near-black page with two angled plates in your accent colour. The larger one covers the top right of the page, falling steeply from a third of the way across and then easing out to the right edge, and a thin one rises from the foot of the page. Your name sits on the black in heavy light serif capitals, and your contact details stand on the plate against the right margin.
How it is built
- The recipient opens the letter, with the date and the subject on two consecutive lines a little further down, as a printed business letter reads.
- The letter is set in from the left edge of your name, so the header and the body read as two separate blocks.
- The page colour is a choice of its own, and the text follows it, so a paler page turns the letter dark again.
