About the Octavo cover letter template
Octavo is set in a serif from top to bottom, like a printed page. Your name opens it in large bold type over two lines, with your job title beneath in small spaced capitals. Your e-mail, phone and address run across the page on one line between two fine rules, and the letter is addressed with a short heading to the reader before it begins.
How it is built
- The recipient is named in bold spaced capitals after the word To, with their company and address beneath and a short rule closing the block.
- The greeting and the sign-off are set in bold, so the start and end of the letter stand out from the paragraphs.
- A matching fine rule at the foot of the page closes the letter, and the rules take the colour you choose.
