About the Vesper cover letter template
Vesper sets the whole letter in light type on a charcoal page. Your name opens it in bold capitals with your job title beneath in light, widely spaced capitals, and your phone, e-mail and address follow on one line of small bold capitals. The date and recipient form a compact block, and the greeting is set in large bold capitals before the letter itself.
How it is built
- There are no bands, rules or icons: the dark page and the contrast between heavy and light capitals carry the design.
- The page colour is the template colour, so choosing a new one repaints the whole sheet, and the text switches to dark if you pick a pale shade.
- The date and the recipient lines close up into one small block of bold capitals, which keeps the top of the letter tidy before the greeting.
