About the Trellis cover letter template
Trellis centres your name in bold above a grey rule that crosses the page, and drops a thin line in your accent colour from that rule to the foot of the page, joined to it by a small dot. Your contact details and the recipient sit in the narrow column left of the line; the letter runs in the wide column to its right.
How it is built
- The accent line falls from the crossing rule a quarter of the way across the page and runs the full height of the letter, so the two rules read as one frame.
- The left column stacks your contact details as plain lines with no labels or icons, then the recipient and their address beneath, so the letter column opens straight on the date.
- The date sits in semibold with the subject on the line directly under it, and the paragraphs, closing and signature follow at normal weight.
