About the Formal cover letter template
Formal runs your name across the full width, then splits the page: a narrow right-aligned column of sender details on the left, the letter itself on the right. It is the only uncoloured template with a genuine two-column body.
How it is built
- The sender column takes 25% of the width and right-aligns its contents against the letter body.
- The name spans the full page above the split at 2.4em, so the columns start beneath it.
- The recipient name is set in semibold, and no filled or tinted blocks appear anywhere.

Other cover letter templates
Every letter template holds the same correspondence structure, so switching between them changes how the page looks and never what you have written.
