About the Umber template
Umber is a two-column resume with a photo, built as a charcoal frame around a white page. A charcoal column runs down the left of every page and turns across the top as a head band with a rounded right end, a copper pill showing behind that end, and the white side meets the frame on a soft inner curve. A round photo in a thin ring opens the column, and the name sits in the band in spaced white capitals with the job title beneath it. Every heading in the column, a section the writer adds included, is a copper ribbon run out from the column edge to past its right side, folding back where it leaves the column, with the section icon on a copper disc at its left end and the label in white capitals. On the white side every heading is the section icon beside a bold capital label over a grey rule. The column holds the contact lines behind copper discs, the skills and the languages each over a thin bar filled to its level, and the references. A role and a degree each open on their dates in bold, then the title, then a short paragraph. It suits designers and other creative professionals who want a bold, graphic page that still reads in a plain order.
