About the Tern template
Tern is a two-column resume on a white page. A short tab of pale blue hangs from the top edge over the narrow left column, and under it a large round photo sits centred in the column. Beside the photo the name runs in large light capitals, widely spaced, over the job title in small spaced type, then the phone, the email and a website behind small plain icons. Every heading, a section the writer adds included, is its label in bold dark capitals followed by a thin grey rule out to the edge of its column. The narrow column carries the profile as a justified paragraph, the degrees as the award in bold over the school and the years, then the skills and the languages as bulleted lists with each level in brackets. The wide column holds the roles, each with its title and its years in bold spaced figures at the right, the employer and city split by a bar, then small bulleted duties, and closes on the references. It suits an accountant, an analyst or anyone in an office role who wants a light, orderly page with a portrait.
