About the Merlot template
Merlot is a two-column resume under a deep plum band that runs the width of the page. The name is set large and bold in the middle of the band with the job title beneath it, and under them the contact details stand in one centred row, each value under its own small icon. Below the band a pale plum column runs down the left of every page, opening on a large round photo with the portfolio link centred under it in bold plum, then the skills as a plain bulleted list. Every heading is a bold plum label with no rule, a section the writer adds included. A role reads its title in bold, the employer and city beneath, then the dates with how long the job lasted in brackets and the bullets. A degree reads the award in bold, then the institution and the year of graduation, each behind its own label. A plum strip runs along the foot of every page.
