About the Cinder template
Cinder is a two-column resume in grey and charcoal on a white page. A charcoal band runs across the head of the page a little below its top edge, a large round portrait in a pale ring sits on the band over the grey column, and beside it the name reads in white on two lines, the first name in bold and the surname in a light spaced face, with the job title small beneath. The grey column under the portrait carries the about, the contact lines, the skills and the languages as short bulleted lists, and the white page beside it carries the education and the work history. Every heading, one the writer adds included, is its section’s icon beside a bold label with no rule. A degree and a role each open on their dates in round brackets beside a large dot, then the school or the title in bold capitals, then the award and its grade or the employer and the bullets. The column and the band are each a slot the reader can change, so the band can take any colour. It suits a graphic designer, an illustrator or anyone in a visual trade whose resume should look designed without a colour on it.
